Delhi Govt To Purchase New AC Buses For Comfort Of Citizens

On June 29, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal revealed that the Cabinet is all set to purchase 1950 air-conditioned buses. According to a report by ANI, Kejriwal revealed that the buses have been purchased keeping in mind the comfort of people, Delhi weather and the need for electric and air-conditioned modes of transport. The Delhi government will first procure 1950 buses and then issue fresh tenders for 4880 more.

Travel On New AC Electric Buses In Delhi By 2023

In a digital media briefing, the Delhi CM revealed that earlier Delhi’s biggest problem was the lack of buses. Now, Delhi has the highest bus fleet ever with 7200 buses. He further added that by September 2023, Delhi will have 1500 electric buses and 450 CNG AC buses.
