Like many other holidays this pandemic, Diwali is going to be a little different this year. And while many Indian states have banned firecrackers this year, others have opted for socially distanced festivities. Ayodhya is gearing up for the Deepotsav celebrations with preparations in full swing to make it a historic event. While the annual celebrations of the festival usually go on for 5 to 7 days, this year, it is going to be a three-day affair. However, due to the global pandemic, the celebrations are going to be a little different this year.

Laser Display Of Lord Rama’s Arrival In Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to go with only laser display of firecrackers at Deepotsav in Ayodhya. There will be a unique laser show display of lord Ram’s arrival in Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. However, this year’s Deepotsov will be digital. Hundreds Of Women To Light Diyas

The fourth Deepotsav will promote Mission Shakti with women empowerment as the theme of the celebration. Hundreds of women will participate in the cultural event, and most volunteers involved in the lighting of diyas on the banks of the Sarayu river will be women.
