While last year, Onam was celebrated amid the coronavirus induced lockdown, this year there are fewer Covid restrictions. Here’s what’s in store.

Onam Sadhya Meals In Bangalore

The traditional spread of aromatic delicacies for Onam is just within your reach. As Kerala celebrates the iconic harvest festival, people from across Bangalore await the delicious meal. The Koramangala based restaurant, Kappa Chakka Kandhari is encouraging take-aways only on Friday and Saturday for Onam. Restaurants Encourage Takeaways Instead Of Dine-In

Other restaurants like the Indiranagar-based Salt Mango Tree put out the Onam Sadhya menu on August 14 itself. The manager of the eatery, Vibin Balakrishnan revealed to TOI that the intention behind this is to avoid crowds on Thiruvonam day on Saturday. Just like Kappa Chakka Kandhari, they have also publicised the take-away menu and encouraged customers to opt for that instead. This year the covid restrictions in the culinary field have led to a rise in prices for the Onam Sadhya which range from ₹149 to ₹1,500. Other places you can order Onasadhya are Elite Kerala Mess and  Thalassery Restaurant.
