Karnataka Might Reopen Cinema Halls & Bars In September

The Karnataka government awaits Centre’s new guidelines for Unlock 4.0 which begins from September 1. The state hopes for much-awaited developments specifically concerning the reopening of cinema halls. And also hopes that restaurants and bars can also start serving liquor. Both of these were halted when the lockdown commenced in March. Excise Minister, H Nagesh stated to TOI “We will approach the government to give us conditional permission to open over 5,000 establishments – bars, pubs and clubs – across the state from September 1. We need the Union government to relax norms.’’
