The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha temple or popularly known as the BAPS Temple is coming up soon in Abu Dhabi. Said to be the first Hindu temple in the Middle East, this temple has been creating quite a buzz on social media with this landmark development. And now, we have the dates when the temple will finally be open to the public. Here’s all about it!

BAPS Temple To Open With A Vedic Ceremony In February 2024

It’s no secret that the BAPS temple has been creating quite a stir ever since the foundation stone was laid during a ceremony in February 2018. Now, with the construction, nearly complete, the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East, will soon open its doors to the public! Yes, according to a news report by Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that during the opening ceremony, which will be the biggest Festival of Harmony, the Hindu mandir will be inaugurated on February 14, 2024. It should be noted that it will be a spiritual oasis for global harmony and the fiesta will celebrate India’s values, art, and culture in the UAE. Moreover, this opening will happen through a Vedic ceremony, which will be led by His Holiness Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.

When Will It Be Open To The General Public?

It should be noted that this grand temple which is being constructed on a massive 27-acre land in Abu Mureikhah can be visited by Indian community members in the UAE on February 15, 2024. However, participation in the ceremony will require prior registration! This Hindu Mandir is being built under the supervision of the temple head, Brahmaviharidas Swami and will finally be made open to the general public on February 18 of 2024. So, all the events and ceremonies prior to this day will be reserved for people who have already registered and have received an invitation. It should be mentioned that the UAE government allotted this land for the temple in Abu Dhabi in August 2015. It was gifted to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his visit to the UAE by the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
