What comes to mind when I say delicious food, staff in uniform, guests, tables, and chairs? A restaurant, right? But what if we tell you about a place that gives you a wholesome restaurant-style experience but not in a restaurant? Well, Bengaluru has welcomed a new pop-up meal series as Chef Anurag Arora introduces Apartment. It is very aptly said to be a culinary trip through all his memories.

Known as a full-time designer and part-time chef, Anurag Arora decided to ditch the regular restaurant space. He decided to give patrons a wholesome restaurant-style experience in a three-bedroom “apartment” in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar.
Here, food and aesthetics converge to create a singular experience expertly curated by Anurag Arora. Arora skillfully combines his two worlds to create an enthralling blend of culinary genius and visual delight. His creative flair is evident in this series of pop-up meals.
Arora, who is well-known for his unique formats, such as “Brunch Club” and “Fried Chicken and Flowers,” says that the Apartment series has a special place in his creative canon. In contrast to other restaurants, Apartment presents a seven-course menu in the setting of a small home for an intimate dinner gathering.
Food Is Not Limited To Any One Cuisine

Refreshingly, Arora’s approach to food transcends national boundaries and is not limited by any one cuisine. Rather, he offers a modern menu that deftly strikes a balance between flavors, taking cues from his travels, life experiences, and early memories.
The end product is a three-month-long, painstakingly crafted menu that guarantees a consistently outstanding eating experience from beginning to end. Apartment’s atmosphere is a reflection of Arora’s dedication to crafting a full sensory experience.
Imagine a long communal table with immaculate white linens, a turntable playing jazz records in the background, and a quiet kitchen where actual servants offer each dish with grace.
For the time being, Bengaluru diners will be captivated by the first installment of the Apartment series for at least four more times. Arora’s ultimate intention is to have a big finale to the series in a different city. (As per Homegrown)
