As indicated by its Level 4+ Transition status under the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program, Bengaluru Airport is working tirelessly to meet its environmental responsibility. They have introduced various initiatives to minimise their environmental footprint. Some of these include achieving net energy-neutral status, banning single-use plastics at F&B outlets, and adding extensive landscaping drives.

The airport is also water-positive as it regenerates more water than it consumes. The T2 terminal of the airport is the largest terminal in the world to achieve the Platinum LEED rating by USGBC and the IGBC Green New Building Platinum certification. The greenery around the airport is also an uplifting experience here.
