Amitabh Bachchan has shared a beautiful picture of Goddess Kamakshi from the Kamakshi Amman Temple in Kanchipuram. He shared the picture and also wrote a sweet caption explaining the importance of the picture and praising the idol’s human-like eyes.
He came across this picture and thought of blessing the feeds of his followers. It is said that the face of Goddess Kamakshi is shown only once every 15 years. The picture features her face with a gorgeous smile, alluring human-like eyes, and lovely ornaments. Her eyes are totally the centre of attraction, as they look extremely realistic.

This temple of Goddess Kamakshi is situated right in the heart of Kanchipuram. According to a legend, Goddess Kamakshi lured Lord Shiva with her alluring eyes, which is why her name is Kamakshi, which means her eyes awaken desire’. Another meaning of the name shows the conjunction of three words, Ka, Ma, and Aksh, which means her eyes are Saraswati and Lakshmi. (Ka-Saraswati, Ma-Lakshmi, and Aksh-Eyes).
