Bill Gates may be a mastermind when it comes to business and making money, however, making Khichdi is not one of his expertise. And why would it be? He’s not Indian and does not dabble in cooking all that much.

But, he was not left to his own devices, without any help. Our Union Minister, Smriti Irani helped the businessman execute the simple task of pouring the tadka into the beloved Khichdi. The former television actor took to Twitter and shared the video of Bill Gates adding tadka to khichdi.

The two prominent personalities can be seen in the video standing side by side and preparing the national comfort dish.

The video is posted along with the caption “Recognising the super food of India and its POSHAN component. When Bill Gates gave tadka to Shree Ann Khichdi.”

Since it was posted on the micro-blogging site on the 2nd of March, yesterday, the tweet has garnered over 450 thousand views. The clip is a short one, a mere 10 seconds long, however, it has warmed the hearts of Indian Netizens.

This is not the first time that the billionaire businessman has tried his hand at an Indian food item. Some time ago, a video of him making roti went viral on the Internet and on social media. In the video, Gates is seen using the rolling pin and trying to make rotis.

For those who may not know, tadka is the activity of tempering spices before they are added to any particular food item. They significantly enhance the taste of the food dish and many Indian food items are made using this practice.
