Have you ever forgotten your luggage or purse while travelling in a bus? The anxiety that grips you when you later discover that you have left behind your valuables on a bus with no certainty of getting them back is simply indescribable! Thankfully, Yashi Dhariwal did not have to undergo the stress over lost luggage for too long! This Bengaluru woman was travelling in a BMTC bus when she forgot her luggage. She was quick to get in touch with the authorities who helped her track the luggage and safely return it to her – all within 24 hours! Read on to know the entire incident.

BMTC Quick On Their Feet, Help Recover Valuable Within 24 Hours!

Yashi Dhariwal works at the Consulate of Cambodia in Bengaluru. On the eve of February 2, she took the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) Airport Vayu Vajra bus to reach home from the Bengaluru Airport. She forgot her luggage and deboarded the bus once she reached her bus stop. She quickly realised her mistake and tried to follow the bus in an auto but was unsuccessful.

She then went back to the airport and asked the other BMTC bus drivers for help. They couldn’t help her as Yashi had already discarded her bus ticket by that time. Thankfully, with the help of BMTC’s Vayu Vajra WhatsApp group, they were able to trace her missing luggage in less than 24 hours!

Yashi Dhariwal shared the entire incident in a social media post. She expressed her gratitude to BMTC, especially Mrs Rajarajeshwari. As per her post, Rajarajeshwari works at BMTC Shanti Nagar Bus Depot and helped Yashi track her luggage with her helpline team. The authority’s quick response and action helped the Bengaluru woman recover her luggage quickly and safely.

We can imagine how nerve-wracking it can be to find lost luggage. Kudos to BMTC for being quick on their feet and being so helpful!
