You might have heard about and visited many parks to feel closer to nature but the one we discuss today is quite different. An old project that took years to revamp is back with a bang. We are talking about the Water Garden in Manama City of Bahrain. This 75-year-old garden has opened up for the public recently after renovations. Nostalgic Bahrain’s Water Garden Is Revamped & Open

The old project has been revamped beautifully and now is then just a park. It has a botanical garden, Child’s play area which has updated swings for kids. You can also spot 2 lakes that uplift the beauty of the whole area. The green spaces are also redesigned to make the entire area look fabulous.

In view of the extensive development, the kingdom’s intentions are to create public gardens, parks, and recreational areas. Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Queen’s wife and head of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) Consultative Council gave its formal opening on January 16, 2023.

The Gufool Water Garden, which closed in 2017, has undergone a significant renovation costing more than BHD2.5 million. The officials emphasised the significance of preserving the unique garden’s historic identity.

Her Highness applauded the tremendous efforts made by a number of organisations in the public and private sectors.

It is one of the biggest parks in the country and has a lot of water features that draw a lot of birds. Additionally, it offers roughly 300 automobile parking places as well as a number of public amenities, walkways for users, rest areas, and play areas for kids.

A total of (1165) trees, including palm trees, were preserved during the development process along with other trees.
