Well, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is now planning to install Artificial Intelligence to check baggage at 9 airports in India. Smart baggage system trials will first be carried out powered by Artificial Intelligence or AI. Threats will be detected in an automatic manner during baggage screening and will also alert operators simultaneously. It will be the first of a kind system.

Baggage Artificial Intelligence is a spectacularly new addition to Indian airports. In fact its the first of a kind detection system for security X-ray machines. For the time being, Airports Authority of India will be testing this system in 9 airports in India including the Pune airport.

Officials from AAI have stated that the goal of this AI-driven baggage detection system is to provide better service while improving the structure of airports across the country. Earlier, Innovate for Airports Programme was organized under the Startup India initiative. This new innovative baggage screening system is a result of this. Under this programme startups from across the country have been providing innovative solutions for problems occurring in Indian airports. This interesting system has been developed by Dimensionless Technologies who believe that with the help of Artificial Intelligence even the smallest of things irrespective of their shades or colours can be easily detected. The new baggage AI system is seen as a boon and will have an extra layer of security protection for Indian airports.
