An ice cave, which is naturally formed in the Alps on a high-altitude glacier. What’s even more delightful is the fact that it’s now open for visitors. The Interiors Of The Cave Is Flat This Year, Making It Easy For The Visitors To Visit

The stellar ice cave is made of thick ice, which is about 5 metres high. For the length, as per Reuters, it about 20 metres long. The interiors of the caves are considerably flat this year, which makes it easy for the visitors to access it. It takes around 15 minutes on foot to reach the ice cave from the chairlift at Glacier 3000 above the resort of Les Diablerets. But one has to do this on their own risk.

The Sight Of The Ice Cave Is Impressive And Should Be On A Must-Visit List

On this, Bernhard Tschannen, CEO of Glacier 3000, in an interview with Reuters said,

“It’s the first time we indicate it and open it officially. The last years, we had kind of an ice cave but it was different, it was steeper. And this year it looks like an ice cathedral, so it’s really beautiful.”

Several tourists have visited this cave in the past, and it is a sight to behold. The impressive structure and sheer magnificence make it on our must-visit list. The ice cave is also known as the Mill- it is formed through a siphon effect. The cavity of the cave is filled with melted snow water every spring and summer. And till autumn arrives, the plug disappears, and the water drains, leaving the cave iced.
