Dang District in Nepal reported a horrifying road accident on January 12, 2024. A bus carrying passengers met with a dreadful accident on Friday leading to about 12 people losing their lives. It was quite late on Friday night when the unfortunate accident happened at Bhalubang. The police have shared information about the life-threatening incident and confirmed the death of around 12 people.

12 Passengers Died On A Horrifying Bus Accident In The Dang District

It was a scary overnight accident. The bus was travelling from Nepalgunj in Banke and it was on its way to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It was quite late on Friday night when the vehicle deviated all of a sudden on a bridge in the Dang District of mid-western Nepal. Following this incident, the passenger bus fell directly into the River Rapti.

Ujjwal Bahadur Singh is the Chief Inspector of Police at the Area Police Office in Bhalubang. In a conversation with ANI, he stated that the police found out about the identity of 8 dead people. Among the 12 passengers who lost their lives in this accident, 2 were Indians. He mentioned that the teams got to know about only 8 people at that moment. More details about the accident and their identities are awaited. Ujjwal Bahadur Singh also stated that the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem at the Lamahi Hospital.

The police have ascertained the identity of 2 deceased Indian passengers. They have been identified as Yogendra Ram and Mune. 67-year-old Yogendra Ram was from Bihar’s Malahi and 31-year-old Mune was from Uttar Pradesh.

Many Passengers Are Suffering From Injuries

The passenger bus was carrying more than 30 people last night from Banke’s Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. About 22 of them have faced injuries.
