Well, India also has a crazy coffee variety and that’s the Butter Coffee, served near Delhi’s Jama Masjid. Made from salted butter, this coffee is the latest food trend to divide the internet. Tiny Coffee Stall Near Jama Masjid Serves Unique Butter Coffee

Food blogger Amar Sirohi posted a video on social media. The video doing the rounds on the internet shows a tiny stall near Hama Madjis in Delhi. This shop serves Butter Coffee and Butter Tea. While Butter Tea, might remind you of the Tibetan Yak Butter Tea, also served in Agra, Butter Coffee might leave you scratching your head in amusement. But this is actually a discovery, after all, this stall in Old Delhi area of Bakhtawar Haveli has been serving Butter Coffee for over 20 years now.

The viral shows the preparation of Butter Coffee from scratch. Amar Sirohi witnesses adding milk to a jug already filled with coffee and milk. He goes on to add a large chunk of Amul salted butter. Afterwhich, he tosses in some coffee powder and sugar. On enquiring about the coffee powder brand, the vendor states it’s Bru. The coffee vendor then steams this concoction in an old coffee machine, that’s often used at weddings. He empties the liquid into cups and sprinkles cocoa powder on them. And voila! The Butter Coffee is ready!
