Cambodia Travel: Fully-Vaccinated Passengers Do Not Need COVID Tests

Cambodia, the southeast Asian nation known for charming towns, ancient temples, serene lakes and lush greenery is open to foreign tourists soon. The Cambodian government had announced a few days back that the country would reopen in a phased manner for fully vaccinated international travellers. Now, the country is finally allowing international tourists without quarantine to give a boost to the tourism industry.

Vaccinated Passengers Do Not Need RT-PCR Tests

However, fully-vaccinated travellers will no longer need PCR tests.  They will also be exempted from the Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival. Unvaccinated passengers will need to undergo 14-day quarantine. Cambodia will also resume visa on arrival for passengers.

Cambodia Opens For International Travellers

Cambodia is now open for international travellers. Travellers entering Cambodia would need to do the following:

  • Proof of full vaccination to be shown upon arrival
  • Rapid results test for COVID-19 upon entry for unvaccinated

If the result of the rapid test is negative, travellers can skip quarantine in the country. According to a Times of India report, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has said in a Facebook audio message,  “When they arrive and we see they have received two doses of vaccine, we will take swabs for rapid tests. After results show they are free of Covid-19, they are allowed to travel across Cambodia.”
