Veteran actor Rio Kapadia passed away at the age of 66. The actor was known for his exceptional performances in various movies like Chak De! India, Dil Chahta Hai, and various serials in the past.

Actor Rio Kapadia’s friend Faisal Malik informed India Today that Rio has passed away. According to the reports, the actor lost his battle against cancer and left the world in dismay.
His is survived by two children, Aman and Veer, and his wife, Maria Farah. He will be cremated on September 15 at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon.
The actor was seen in the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven. He played the role of Mrunal Thakur’s father in the series and garnered appreciation.
He was a part of many hit Bollywood movies like Chak De! India, Dil Chahta Hai, Happy New Year, Mardaani, Khuda Hafiz, and more.

A Brilliant Sketch Artist

Rio Kapadia was not only a successful actor but also a sketch artist. He has already posted tidbits of his work on social media. In addition to Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, he also created sketches of the late actor Dilip Kumar, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and Sridevi.
Along with being a well-known face on television, he also appeared in a number of popular TV series, including Kutumb, Judwa Raja, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Rio had discussed the rights of performers in the television industry and exhorted other actors to support one another. When he was replaced by another actor for a significant role in a show in 2012, he raised awareness of the difficulties actors experience in the business.
