Chef Vikas Khanna recently took to Instagram to share the tale of the fascinating Ananas Meenaskai. He started out by saying that many people ask him if Ananas Meenaskai is his personal innovation to which he says no.
He then went on to say that it is a traditional dish of Karnataka. He narrated a beautiful story of his discovery and subsequent journey of this dish. He said that he first came across this dish when he was still a student at WelcomGroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration in Manipal.
He first had this dish at Krishna Temple in Udipi. He then had it again when he visited his teacher and his wife. As an ode to Udipi, Krishna Temple, and his teachers, he got a stone piece from the place for his entrance.
