New Imported Cases Reported In China From India

China has witnessed a recent spike in imported coronavirus cases. On November 2, the country had reported 49 new infections, out of which 44 were allegedly imported cases. The other five were locally transmitted cases in Xinjiang. Among the 44 imported cases, four were from a New Delhi-Wuhan flight, which were the city’s first imported cases since August 7. 19 passengers from an India-China Vande Bharat flight have tested positive for the virus. Also, the coronavirus cases are increasing in India at an alarming rate and now the virus tally has crossed the 8 million mark. Considering all these factors, China has banned the entry of foreign nationals with a valid Chinese visa or residence permit from India.
