CNG-Driven Boats To Come Up In Varanasi To Reduce Air & Noise Pollution

Our holy river Ganga is hugely polluted in specific stretches like Varanasi and Haridwar. And why not? Devotees taking a dip in the sacred river have also been polluting it with all the pooja samagri. Moreover, Varanasi also has corpses of dead people dipped in the river. To make things worse, the boats with diesel engines even litter it. However, now, CNG engines will replace all existing diesel engine boats in the Ganga river in Varanasi. This will keep the Ganga from getting polluted with unpleasant smoke and noise from diesel boats.

They will also charge a token amount from the boatmen to make them the stakeholders. They will also wholly dispose of the diesel engines to ensure that they are not installed again in other boats and introduced in the Ganga. GAIL will also establish its CNG station near Khidkiyagha where 40 CNG dispensers will be arranged on a jetty to refill the engines of boats. The entire project will be launched and completed in 2021. The Mukti Bhavan Hotel In Varanasi Lets People Check In To Die & Attain Moksha.
