The Al Ras area was completely cordoned off since this morning, in an effort to fight Covid 19. The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management said they will intensify sterilization in this area. The area is now completely closed for two weeks. Dubai Health Authority will provide all essential supplies to residents within Al Ras, from 31 March. Meanwhile, DHA is continuing its efforts to secure the health and safety of the Al Ras Community.

Additionally, it has also been announced that roads, bus routes and the three Metro stations connecting this area will remain closed. Three green lines including Al Ras, Palm Deira and Baniyas Square will be closed for two weeks starting from Tuesday 31st of March.

On another note, people who do not live in Al Ras are prohibited from entering the area. Additionally, all bus routes to Al Ras area will be diverted to Al Musalla, Al Khaleej and Omar Bin Al Khattab streets, and all taxi movement to the area will be restricted.
