For personnel who are retiring in the current and following fiscal years, Air India has eased the new rule regarding the accrual of luxury leaves. The Tata Group-owned carrier updated its policy regarding privilege leaves for both permanent and full-term contract employees in March to reflect the state of the market.

2. Go First Cancels Flight Operations Till May 30

Go First Airlines announced in a statement on May 27, Saturday, that all flight operations have been suspended until May 30. In addition to this, all customers who had purchased tickets with the airline will receive a full refund.

3. New US Consulate To Track Process Of Visa Application

According to Eric Garcetti, US Ambassador to India, student appointments have already begun, and more openings will be available between June and August for individuals who need to start college this year. 7. Bengaluru Woman Was Cheated For ₹4.5 Lakhs

A man in Bengaluru scammed a 37-year-old woman out of ₹4.5 lakhs using an online dating app. In order to aid in the money’s recovery, the woman later reported the incident to the local police, who in turn reported it on May 19 to the Whitefield Cyber Crime Police Station. According to the authorities, the woman met a man named Advik Chopra from Mumbai on an app around a month ago who claimed to be a medical specialist with a base in London.

8. IndiGo Employees Are Protesting At Mumbai Airport, Here’s Why

Many IndiGo employees reportedly went on strike at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport because they felt harassed by airport staff. In a statement on May 26, IndiGo stated that it was aware of the situation and that there was a conversation going on between the management and the crew. They went on to say that the claims of 1,700 employees were demonstrating are false and that there are actually only 17 protestors.

9. Mandwa To Gateway Of India Water Route Will Remain Close

From May 26 to August 31, water transportation on the Mandwa to Gateway route will be completely shut off. The water transportation from Mandwa to Gateway will be suspended for three months, according to the Maritime Department. The Maritime Department has also sent a letter to the shipping firms. This service will reopen in September after being suspended as of May 26. Passengers will therefore have the choice of road transit rather than water transport for the ensuing three months.

10. IMD Issues Rainfall Alerts In These Indian States

On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department issued an alert and warned that Delhi may experience thunderstorms over the next three to four days. According to the forecast service, northwest India will see unusually heavy rains today and tomorrow due to moisture from the Arabian Sea, and there will be thunderstorms in North-Western India for 5 days. Apart from this, East Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala will witness rainfall.
