As a result, a yellow taxi decorated with tigers was flagged off at Victoria Memorial on Friday, the day before International Tiger Day. IRCTC has decided to lower the cost of the Buddhist Circuit Tourist train for the years 2023–2024 to draw in more travellers. For the Buddhist Special Train scheduled to depart on October 21, November 4, and December 16, 2023, IRCTC is providing a special upfront discount of 20% on the listed tariff for domestic tourists.

After nine years of operation, the Metro Line One rakes that run between Versova, Andheri and Ghatkopar are being renovated. These rakes need to be overhauled because they have travelled 6 lakh kilometres, according to Mumbai Metro One. Three rakes have been overhauled, according to Metro One staff. The overhaul of one rake takes, on average, 25 days, and the process started in March of this year.

10. 1 Out Of 3 Passengers Uses DigiYatra At Kolkata Airport

Only travellers who register with DigiYatra, the facial recognition technology-based paperless check-in and boarding service, are permitted admission into the domestic terminal through Gate 3. Flyers with and without DigiYatra have different entry channels at the other two gates, 1 and 2. DigiYatra usage has increased by 50 per cent since Gate 3 restrictions were put in place.

11. Minister Flags Off 4th Bharat Gaurav Kashi Yatra

The Karnataka government’s Muzrai Department has organised a special train service from Karnataka to Kashi. At the Yeshwanthpur train station, Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy signalled the departure of the fourth train from Karnataka bound for Kashi. The Karnataka Bharat Gaurav Kashi Yatra train costs Rs 20,000 for a ticket, but the government is providing a Rs 5,000 subsidy to passengers.
