Imagine you’re in Ahmedabad and suddenly feel like enjoying authentic Italian dishes, but you’re not in a situation to travel to Italy. So what do you do? Something similar happened to me, so I grabbed my keys and went straight to the Italian fine-dining restaurant, Corbezzolo, in Ahmedabad. Here’s all about my experience.
An Italian Vibe You’ll Want To Dive In
As soon as I stepped into Corbezzolo, I was hit by the cosy vibe. I loved their minimal and not-too-loud interior. To give the place an Italian feel, they have decorated it with posters of Italy and artistic pictures. The tables were arranged for families, couples, and friends, making it perfect for any meet-ups.
What made this place more special for me, as a book lover, was the section dedicated to some famous books. While waiting for your food, you can spend time reading. Another thing that impressed me was the staff. They kept checking on guests and were very quick with their service.

Here’s What I Ordered And How It Tasted
1. Countryside Ciabatta

This dish featured toasted bread served with fresh burrata cheese and pesto sauce on the side. I enjoyed spreading both the burrata and the pesto over the crispy bread. With the first bite, you taste the mild, creamy burrata, followed by the fresh pesto flavour. It’s a perfect starter for those who prefer something light, mild, and not too spicy.
2. Tortellini in Cacio e Pepe Sauce

For my cheesy craving, this was the perfect pasta dish. With the first bite, the cheese-stuffed tortellini delivered a comforting flavour, with a slight lemony touch from the lemon-parmesan sauce. You could also taste a hint of olive oil in every bite, making the dish more perfect.
3. Pesto Pizza
Taking my taste buds to the next level, I ordered the Pesto Pizza. It was served with chilli oil, chilli sauce, and pesto sauce on the side. I enjoyed it by drizzling some chilli oil and dipping slices into the chilli sauce. The spice instantly balanced the mild pesto base. The cheese was the absolute hero — it stretched beautifully with every slice.
4. Peperone Alla Basilico Risotto
This dish was prepared with Arborio rice, which is commonly used in risotto. It had a cheesy flavour, and the rice was a bit firm, which you’ll usually notice in every Risotto. It didn’t completely suit my taste, but if you enjoy rice-based dishes, you can definitely give this one a try.
5. Tiramisu

The Tiramisu at Corbezzolo truly won my heart. With the first bite, I tasted strong coffee, cocoa, and creamy layers blending perfectly. The dessert felt soft and rich, and the staff served it with coffee liquid on the plate. This dessert is definitely not something to miss.
6. Drinks
Mint Mojito: This drink was refreshing, and with the very first sip, you could taste the fresh basil leaves. It was cool, simple, and presented nicely.
Homemade Lemonade: If you’re craving something homely and comforting, try the homemade lemonade. With the malta mixed in it, the drink had an orange flavour and was served with a slice of orange.
I had a great time dining at this Italian restaurant!
