The Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which opened for devotees on January 22, 2024, has quickly become one of the most prominent centres of worship for devotees. Now, a year and a half later, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to enhance its spiritual and cultural appeal by launching a grand Ramayana-themed wax museum within the temple premises this Deepotsav. Ram Temple To Have Grand Ramayana-Themed Wax Museum Soon
According to India TV News, the Uttar Pradesh government will use modern technology and intriguing displays to showcase important chapters of the Ramayana. The upcoming museum will feature life-like wax figures beautifully depicting significant episodes from the epic. Spanning 10,000 square feet, it will be located along the parikrama path of the Ram temple.
Till now, ₹7.5 crore has been invested in this project. The wax museum will have around 50 main figures from the Ramayana. This includes wax statues of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshman, Lord Hanuman, Sugriv, and Jatayu. To ensure these wax statues appear real, creators are paying close attention to expressions, costumes, and the authenticity of the idols.

To Highlight Key Episodes Of Ramayana
India TV News reported that the new museum will showcase key episodes of Ramayana that played a crucial role in the epic tale. Some of these include Sita’s abduction, Hanuman’s journey to Lanka, the construction of the Ram Setu, and the battle between Ram and Ravan. To make the devotees’ experience engaging, the government is also planning to add audio-visual effects and interactive elements.
A Maharashtra-based organisation, and experts from Kerala are creating the Ramayana character statues. This project is built under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The state government is continuously working on various projects to make Ayodhya one of the most famous tourist spots in India. On Deepotsav, Ayodhya lights up beautifully with millions of diyas and lights to welcome Lord Ram. This year, the city will get a new wax museum. It will play an important role in making the city a hub for culture and history.
