The weather in India has been totally unexpected recently. A severe storm has hit Uttar Pradesh, disrupting everyone’s daily lives, while places like Mumbai and other cities are struggling with intense heat and humidity. From severe heat in some cities to rainfall alart, here’s the weather update for Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and more!

Delhi To Experience Intense Heat

In the next few days, Delhi will experience severe heat. As per India.com, temperatures are expected to rise by 3 to 5°C. Delhi is likely to remain under strong heatwave conditions, with the mercury expected to touch around 42°C in the coming days. Not only Delhi, but similar weather conditions are also expected in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. This summer heat can make it uncomfortable for residents to step out.

Other regions that may experience heatwave conditions include Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Also, nearby locations, including Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad, may also continue to remain hot. Compared to other cities, Mumbai is expected to get some relief. The minimum temperature is expected to be 29°C, while the maximum may reach 31°C.

Which Cities Are Under Rainfall Alert?

While some cities are experiencing heatwave conditions, others are set to receive rainfall. From May 18, states like Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha are expected to witness moderate rainfall. In the northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura, rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is expected.

According to the IMD, Bengaluru is also likely to witness rain and thunderstorms on Monday, May 18. As per The Economic Times, the city’s temperature may stay between 23°C and 33°C. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and several parts of Karnataka for the next three days. Some parts of Karnataka are also under an orange alert for the next 24 hours.
