Czech Republic Just Got World’s Longest Sky Bridge, And It Looks Terrifying

If you’re afraid of heights, you should probably turn away now. The Sky Bridge in the Czech Republic 721 is the world’s new longest suspension footbridge and a scary engineering marvel. Even if you’re not afraid of heights, we won’t blame you for feeling the goosebumps with this one, which is 721 meters long (almost half a mile), 95 meters high, and just 1.2 meters wide.

World’s Longest Sky Bridge in the Czech Republic

The Sky Bridge is located in the Czech Republic East Bohemia resort of Doln Morava. It is located in the Jeseniky Mountains’ foothills, straddling a valley with the Mlnsk stream in the distance. It’s a stunning engineering achievement in a region of breathtaking natural beauty, spanning two mountains, the Slamnka and the Chlum.

The Sky Bridge is the world’s longest footbridge. However, the previous record-holder was up for debate. It was the Arouca 516 bridge in Portugal, which was finished in 2021 and spans 516 meters. However, the 567-meter-long Baglung Parbat Footbridge in Nepal grabbed the title unofficially.

However, the Sky Bridge currently outranks the even Baglung Parbat by 154 meters.

Dolní Morava resort Is Another Marvelous Attraction

Dolni Morava in the Czech Republic is more than just a place to stay; it’s a destination. It is a popular ski resort in the winter and hiking, mountain-biking, roller-coaster, and adventure park destination in the summer. The Sky Walk, a 55-meter spiral walkway with comparable spectacular (albeit considerably less terrifying) views out over the valley, is situated nearby the Sky Bridge 721.

The ‘Bridge of Time,’ a 2-kilometre, 90-minute stroll that takes tourists through the region’s history from 1938 to 2021 and incorporates games and augmented reality, is also part of the bridge.
