What Is A Schengen Visa?

Types Of Czech Republic Visa For Indians

Business/ Conference-  Ones who are travelling to the Czech Republic for business purposes, meeting, to attend conferences can get this visa. It will be valid for a duration of fewer than 90 days. This visa is strictly for business purposes and shouldn’t be used for any personal work.

Visiting Family/Friend – If you want to visit your family, friends or relatives then you should pick this visa type. Like a business visa, you are allowed for less than 3 months in the Czech Republic.

Cultural Event- This visa type is applicable when you want to participate in cultural, sports or religious events or for a film shoot that will be happening in Czech. All these visas allow for less than 90 days into the country.

Tourism – People who want to visit the famous city of Prague, Český Krumlov, Karlovy Vary, Brno and others can opt for a tourist visa. This visa will apply for a duration of fewer than 90 days.

Student Visa- Students who wish to study in the Czech Republic can obtain a student visa and the duration will vary according to the educational institute. You will also require an additional letter of acceptance from the school or university.

Documents Required For Czech Republic Visa For Indians –

– A Valid Passport (6 months validity and not older than ten years.)
– Photograph (Recently clicked with a white background)
– Printout of the Online Application (At least two prints )
– Receipt of Visa Fee
– Flight Ticket of the trip (any internal flights in Schengen should also be included)
– A letter stating the purpose of the visit to the Czech Republic.
– Proof of stay and itinerary of the trip.
– Medical insurance which is valid for all Schengen-countries
– Financial Proof (Bank statements for the last 3 months)
– PAN Card

Please Note: For people travelling on Business trips, you will require additional documents like a letter from their office stating the reason, a letter from the company that you will be doing business with they must mention the purpose of business, invite you to their company and also mention what the nature of business will be.

For Employed individuals – A letter of leave that is approved from the office or a NOC from the employer.

For Students or Children travelling without a guardian – A letter from their parents or guardians allowing them to travel. They must have ID proof, a certificate from school/college that allows their visit, proof of their relationship with the parents or guardians.
