Today, a brand-new Vande Bharat route was flagged off between Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and Dehradun in Uttarakhand. This new route will definitely make travelling between the two destinations easier and more comfortable. The route has also been anticipated by locals and tourists alike. This is an important milestone for the Indian Railways. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this particular route that began operations today.
Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express Commences Operations
On March 26, operations on the Dehradun-Lucknow Vande Bharat Route finally commenced. It has been much awaited by travellers. The route spans 586 kilometres and is poised to make travelling easy between the two destinations.
To cover the distance, the semi-high-speed train will take around eight hours and 20 minutes. Other trains usually take around 11 or 12 hours to cover the same distance. It promises world-class amenities similar to those on airlines to passengers.
Here Are The Ticket Prices As Well As Timings Of The Train
According to an article which was recently published by the Native Planet, the following are the ticket prices for the Lucknow-Dehradun Section: –
AC Chair Car: ₹1,415
Executive Chair Car: ₹2,160
The following are the prices for the Bareilly-Lucknow section of the route.
AC Chair Car: ₹810
Executive Chair Car: ₹1,495
The train will operate on six days a week. It will depart from the Lucknow Junction at 5:15 in the morning. At 1:35 PM, it will arrive at the Dehradun railway station. The return journey will commence shortly after.
The departure is scheduled at 2:25 PM from the Dehradun railway station. It will then arrive at the Lucknow Junction at 10:40 at night.
