It’s being circulated that a 60-year-old Nigerian passenger, Abdullah, on board IndiGo flight 6E-1736, felt sick mid-flight. And as his health condition deteriorated further, the captain of the aircraft contacted the Karachi Air Traffic Control, seeking permission to land on humanitarian grounds. Thereafter, the doctors of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Federal Ministry of Health checked the passenger. But it was reported that he had died before the landing could happen according to The Week. The IndiGo team also issued a statement regarding the issue about this, and they shared their condolences with the grieving family.

Such situations make one aware of the importance of always taking every little indication about our health seriously. While a lot of this is not in our hands, it’s important that we get everything checked by our family physicians before flying. It might be an extra chore, but considering that there’s nothing more precious than life. This extra step can ward off any unwanted mishaps!
