Delhi Has A Research Centre Dedicated To Dr Ambedkar & It Is Massive!

Dr Ambedkar International Centre For Socio-Economic Transformation (DAICSET) is a crucial place for research on social and economic issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the centre nestled in Delhi’s Janpath, in 2017. Spread across 3.25 acres, the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre is a 3-storeyed building with intricate Buddhist and present-day architecture incorporated.

Dr. Ambedkar International Centre Has A Stunning Library With 10,000 Books

The focus of the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre is to reduce socio-political and economic inequalities. It was built to conduct policy reviews, research and advocacy. Featuring seminar and conference halls, an expansive library with over 10,000 books and a rich digital repository it calls upon, bibliophiles, history and social science buffs. This renowned institution will take your breath away with the Buddhist architecture.

 A Massive Statue Of Dr BR Ambedkar

Dr. Ambedkar International Centre shall act as a government think tank that will create awareness among youth through research with an emphasis on Ambedkar and Buddhist values. The institution also houses two massive bronze statues of Dr.BR Ambedkar. One of them is erected at a height of 18 feet. You’d also come across, a stone statue of Dhyani-Buddha, and India’s tallest Ashoka stupa that stands tall at around 70 feet.

700-Seat Auditorium & Smaller Halls

The pillars of the complex hold engravings that depict Buddha’s teachings. Dr. Ambedkar International Centre also has a 700-seat auditorium and two small halls that can accommodate 100 people, each. With quotes of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar embedded in the complex, it’s an institution that takes you down Indian history.
