Delhi Has India’s 1st Outdoor Museum, Shaheedi Park; From Ticket Prices To Timings, All About It

Since Independence Day is around the corner, it is an appropriate time to remember the struggle of those who fought for the freedom we now take for granted. Keeping in mind this very struggle for independence and those who played a crucial role in it, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has set up India’s 1st outdoor museum, Shaheedi Park. This museum will be a tribute to the heroes of Indian history. Here are all the details you need to know about it if you ever plan to visit this place!

Shaheedi Park, Delhi: India’s 1st Outdoor Museum

This museum is India’s first outdoor museum and is dedicated to the heroes of Indian history. It showcases a plethora of statues of Indian freedom fighters and structures which depict the struggle for Independence. It was recently inaugurated by Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi on the 8th of August.

The park is built on a ‘waste to art’ theme. This means that all the statues in the park are made from waste products that have been upcycled. The outdoor museum stretches across 4.5 acres of land and is a recreational space for adults and children alike.

Around 250 tonnes of scraps have been upcycled to turn this park into a reality. The park was initially built around 20 years ago.
