But during this time, good samaritans from across the country have stepped up to help those in need in innovative ways. Javed Khan, an auto driver from Bhopal, transformed his three-wheeler into an ambulance to ferry patients to hospitals, free of cost. That was just the beginning. Now Delhi has launched 10 similar auto ambulances equipped with an oxygen cylinder and a sanitiser. Delhi Launches Auto Ambulances With Oxygen Cylinder & Sanitiser
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in association with Turn Your Concern Into Action (TYCIA) Foundation has launched 10 auto rickshaw ambulances in Delhi. Coronavirus patients suffering from mild symptoms, needing oxygen support can contact these auto ambulances to reach the hospital. These auto ambulances are equipped with an oxygen cylinder and sanitiser. The auto drivers wear PPE kits. Covid patients with mild symptoms and having oxygen levels between 85 to 90 can reach the nearby hospitals in time. TYCIA took to Twitter to share the news with Delhiites. The foundation plans to raise ₹25 lakhs through donations. This will help them launch 20 more auto ambulances on the national capital roads.
