The Delhi Metro has always been a trending topic among netizens because of so many weird things happening there. Yet again, Delhi Metro is trending, but this time because the HUDA City Centre metro station will be renamed Gurugram City Centre. As netizens were checking out the details and are reacting to it, the tweet got deleted.
Delhi Metro Tweets An Announcement
Soon, while travelling in the Delhi metro, you will see that the HUDA City Centre station has a different name. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to rename one station from the Yellow Line.
It has been decided to rename HUDA City Centre Metro Station as Gurugram City Centre. DMRC informed about this by tweeting the decision on Monday. The process of changing this name on signage, official documents, and announcements has been initiated. The process will be completed gradually, and the changes will reflect this soon!
It mentioned that as the station falls in Haryana’s Gurugram, it will be renamed Gurugram City Centre. But the tweet was officially deleted!

Official Announcement Has Been Deleted
Requests to rename this station came in from both Haryana and the central government. The announcement tweet on DMRC’s (Delhi metro) official Twitter account has by far garnered over 53.3K views and over 979 likes.
Some people congratulated the metro and called it a good decision, while there were several users who looked completely unhappy. They asked the reason behind the change and how the renaming of the station made a difference. Some users requested that the name of Rajiv Chowk metro station be changed.
While people were stating their opinions on this announcement of renaming the station, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) deleted the tweet. The reason they deleted the tweet is yet to be known!
