Don’t Even Think Of Trekking To Harihar Fort Now As The Traffic Is Terrible

No one really wishes to stay indoors anymore on holidays and weekends, especially after the long halt on vacations during the Covid-19 pandemic and its waves. Everyone is taking trips and vacations to far and nearby places and doing everything for wanderlust and travel experiences. It is quite common to see places getting crowded on Saturdays and Sundays but the crowd went out of hand recently at Harihar Fort. The traffic was terrible in Harihar Fort on a recent Sunday that the line of people hardly moved forward.

The Traffic At The Harihar Fort Is Terrible

An Instagram user ‘giffy_kewal’ uploaded a video on his Instagram handle showing the massive crowd in the Harihar Fort on Sundays. The video clearly shows how long the line of waiting tourists is and how the crowd in the line is hardly changing their positions. The Instagrammer shared the video with an important message in the caption, ‘Having affection and love towards our culture and historical places is absolutely perfect. But with massive crowd gatherings, it only degrades the absolute experience you get while exploring that place. That’s why visiting such places and forts on weekends is not suggested. Let’s not suffocate these places because of us. An humble request to everyone.’

Trekking Here Is Difficult!

Trekking is an adventurous and thrilling experience. And while doing it in the Harihar Fort, you have to be very cautious as it is a difficult trek. Nestled 3,600 ft above sea level, reaching the top is immensely challenging. Things get very challenging at the last 200 ft of the trek. If trekking here is going to be your first time, you will surely face problems covering the last distance. There are almost 200 stairs and each is very steep, almost at an angle of 80°.

When the crowd is more, there is always an extra rush to cover the distance as nobody is in a mood to return back home without completing what they came for. With a rush, the chances of mistakes increase too. At such a steep elevation, even the smallest mistakes can lead to accidents. You have to be very calm and patient while trekking here. Also, it is advisable to avoid such places in massive crowds. To enjoy such a memorable experience, it is better to do it with time in hand and not in a hurry.
