Eid al-Adha is one of the most important Islamic festivals for Muslims around the globe. And, the United Arab Emirates goes all out to ensure the residents don’t miss out on the festive spirit of this pious holiday. So keeping up with their traditions, they are going to be cannon firing this year as well and we are here to tell you all about this.

Dubai Police Reveals Cannon Firing Locations

Recently, the Dubai Police took to their official Twitter account to announce the six locations where cannon firing will be taking place. As a part of the annual Eid al-Adha tradition, people eagerly wait for the canon firing to take place on the day. So, if you’re also wondering about where the cannon firing will be taking place, they are as follows –

  • Baraha area
  • Nad Al Hamar area
  • Mankhool area
  • Zabeel area
  • Umm Suqeim area
  • Nad Al Sheba area

It should be mentioned that the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority recently announced that there will be free public parking for four days in the emirate. This means there will be no parking fees applicable in the paid parking zones, except for multi-level parking from June 27, Tuesday to June 30, Friday.

Eid Prayer Timings In The Emirate

In fact, Dubai RTA has also revised timings for its services during the Eid al-Adha holidays. Not to mention, transport timings for public services, like buses, trams, and even metro have been revised. As it happens, the prayer timings for Eid al-Adha have also been revealed. In a report by Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that Muslims in the UAE will offer prayers on June 28, Wednesday, which is the first day of Eid. So, for this purpose, mosques and large open spaces called Eid musallahs will host prayers after sunrise. In case you are also wondering about the timings of the prayers, then you must note that for Dubai it’s at 5:50 AM while in Sharjah it’s 5:47 AM.

So, with the festivities nearly upon us, it is bound to be a fantastic long weekend, one that is filled with loads of love, good food, and even better company.
