There are many infrastructural developments that are happening in Dubai. Yes, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is doing everything in its power to ensure that residents in Dubai don’t face problems while travelling. And ensure smooth travel, they have now announced an AED 431 million project for the construction of direct entry and exit points for Dubai Harbour. Yes, this would be in partnership with Shamal Holding and is being implemented under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai. A New 2-Lane Bridge Announced In Dubai

The Dubai RTA has announced a new two-lane bridge that would be spanning 1500 m in each direction. To be built between Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Harbour, it would reduce travel time to just three minutes. Yes, in case you aren’t aware, Dubai Harbour is a unique seafront destination that is home to the largest marina in the region.

As such, His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, the Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA revealed that this entry/exit for Dubai Harbour is going to ease the movement for visitors and residents. The bridge would be of two lanes and can accommodate 6000 vehicles per hour, once complete.

It Will Reduce Travel Time To 3 Mins

It is worth mentioning that this flyover would extend from the fifth intersection on Sheikh Zayed Road, which is near the American University in Dubai to Dubai Harbour Street. As such, it will pass through the intersection of Al Naseem Street with Al Falak Street. In fact, the flyover will also cross over the intersection of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street leading up to the Dubai Harbour.

As it happens, the project aims to achieve surface improvements at the four intersections along with the bridge. And once completed, it will reduce the travel time from the existing 12 minutes to just three minutes! In fact, this major milestone for constructing the Dubai Harbour Bridge will provide direct access to the residential area from Sheikh Zayed Road.

With its close proximity to Burj Al Arab and Expo Dubai, this seafront district is known for offering an extraordinary lifestyle.
