And now, it has been given two fantastic awards for its retail outlets, restaurants, and bars. As it happens, the Dubai International Airport has won the ‘Best Airport For Food & Beverage Offer’ and ‘Best Airport For Retail Environment’. These prestigious awards have been given at the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards, which included many nominees for both these categories.

Nominees Included Airports From Doha, Singapore & Other Countries

Talking about the nominees in the food and beverage category, these included airports in Doha, Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. And for the retail category, the nominees were Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Melbourne, Doha, and Istanbul. Not to mention, this award comes after the DXB Airport was also tagged as the world’s busiest airport for the ninth consecutive year! Moreover, did you know that Dubai Airport is home to the region’s first-ever Hard Rock Cafe? Yes, you will find everything from exquisite dining options, such as Paul, a French bakery, to popular retail outlets, such as Chanel and Gucci.

So, it’s hardly surprising that travellers tend to travel ahead of their boarding time to indulge in the myriad of experiences offered at the airport. And truth be told, who wouldn’t want to spend some extra time at an airport that offers everything under a single roof?
