Dubai International Airport’s Passenger Traffic Has Already 28 Million In Just 7 Months

According to DXB airport’s 2022 traffic statistics, Dubai International Airport has been living up to its reputation as the busiest international airport in the world. The number of passengers travelling through DXB airport as of this writing is 27.9 million, which is just 1.2 million fewer than the total number of passengers expected to use the airport annually in 2021. 161.9% more passengers passed through the airport in the first half of 2021.

Dubai International Airport Is Expecting More Tourists In September

Given that tourism will increase in September, DXB airport’s traffic statistics for 2022 indicate that it is likely to exceed those for 2021. Given that the northern runway at Dubai International Airport was closed from May to June for a significant renovation project. It is amazing that the airport has already received many travellers this year.

With 4 million passengers, India has been the top destination from DXB in terms of where people have been travelling. Amazing! With 2 million travellers, Saudi Arabia is the second-most popular destination, and the United Kingdom is just behind 1.9 million.

FIFA World Cup Is Around The Corner

The overseas soccer fans would swarm to Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central, or DWC, for the first World Cup in the Middle East. From there, they’ll make a daily trip to Qatar, a little neighbour with limited hotel space. Qatar Airways, FlyDubai, and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi bought more slots to carry soccer fans from DWC.

Dubai International’s state-owned operator previously said that you might reach yearly passenger volume levels before the pandemic in 2024. In 2019, 86.4 million passengers were carried.
