The Michelin Guide Announced At The Museum Of The Future

The Michelin Guide Dubai will give a new viewpoint and new insights into the culinary diversity, inventiveness, and multicultural aspect of Dubai’s culinary offering. It will draw on traditional Emirati cuisine as well as the cuisines of the city’s more than 200 nationalities. The finest of Dubai’s gastronomy will be on display to showcase not just the city’s refinement, but also the great variety of cuisines available due to the city’s location and history.

What Will Be The Selection Criteria?

The decision happens based on the Michelin Guide’s tried-and-true methodology. It has to go through a universally applied set of five criteria. The requirements are quality of the ingredients, cooking mastery, flavour harmony, the chef’s personality expressed through the cuisine, and consistency over time and across the entire menu. These apply to all of the restaurants that underwent selection in order to assist gastronomes from all over the world in making an educated decision among high-quality selections.

The Number Of Michelin Stars That Are Required

The Michelin Guide uses a complex set of symbols to transmit restaurant reviews, the most well-known of which are the Michelin Stars. Restaurants that have one Michelin Star have “excellent quality food that is worth a stop,” according to Michelin. Two Michelin Stars for “good cookery worth a detour,” and Three Michelin Stars for “outstanding cuisine deserves a special trip”.

Aside from the coveted star ratings, the list will feature the famous Bib Gourmand category, which recognises restaurants that offer good value for money three-course dinners.
