1. Dubai Airport Intercepts Over 350 Passengers In Quarter 1

It was recently revealed that the Dubai Airport has intercepted over 350 passengers who are travelling with counterfeit passports. This figure is just for the first quarter of 2024 alone. As it happens, the figures were broadcast by the General Directorate of Residency & Foreign Affairs in Dubai. In fact, it was also revealed by the GDRFA that 366 individuals were caught using forged passports in the Quarter 1 of 2024.

2. Dubai Opera Wraps A Record-Breaking 2023-24 Season

As revealed by the Dubai Opera it has wrapped up a successful season. Yes, 2023-24 has been a record-breaking season as the theatre saw more than 2,50,000 guests. In fact, there are 100 productions and 200 performances showcased at one of the most popular spots in Dubai.

3. Motorists Urged To Maintain Their Vehicle

In a recent notification by the Dubai RTA, it was mentioned that motorists must ensure their vehicles are well-maintained. Taking to X, Dubai Road and Transport Authority urges to ensure that their vehicles are well maintained and regularly inspected. They have especially been asked to be vigilant during the summer season, as there is an increase in road travel.

4. Dubai RTA Reveals Dotted Line Bus Lane Is Temporary

The Dubai RTA recently clarified that the dedicated bus lane which runs along the first Al Khail St in Al Quoz, is temporary. Yes, this is part of an ongoing study before a final decision is made to utilise the bus lane. It’s worth mentioning that this lane was created during the metro closure to transport those who were affected by the situation. In fact, if the lane is used by motorists, they will be liable to pay a fine of AED 600.

5. Al Maktoum Airport To Reimagine How Airports Work

The new Al Maktoum Airport is all set to re-imagine how airports work. There will be short walks, no queues, and no crowding, as revealed by the CEO of Dubai Airports. With the aim of bringing intimacy of travel back, it was revealed during the IATA that the new airport will reimagine the way airports work. With several points of security and passport control through the airport, it will be removing all sorts of bottlenecks.
