Dubai police introduces Maserati GranTurismo to their list of luxury patrol vehicles. The new addition is an attempt to boost police presence in certain pockets of the city.

Dubai Police adds Maserati GranTurismo to their list of luxury patrol vehicles. The new addition increases the list of lavish wheels to 15.

The coupe can reach speeds of 300km/h and is equipped with a 4.7 litre V8 engine. Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said that adding luxury cars to the fleet is an initiative to boost police presence in hot shot tourist spots like Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR).

Other cars in the fleet include Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Bentley Continental GT, an Audi R8, a Mercedes G class Brabus, a Nissan GTR and a Mercedes SL 63.

That’s not it! Last year Beast Patrol and a Lamborghini worth one million dirhams, were added to the fleet.

Meanwhile, specially crafted quad bikes have been added to Abu Dhabi Police’s car fleet.
