Dubai Residents No Longer Need A Permit To Leave Home

The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announces a partial reduction in the restrictions on movement in Dubai from Friday, 24 April. Dubai residents can now leave their homes between 6 am and 10 pm without a permit. Full restrictions on movement will be enforced between 10 pm and 6 am. The public is advised to fully comply to the decision and leave home only for absolutely necessary reasons.

Make A Note Of These Rules

-Wearing masks is still mandatory, but wearing gloves is optional
-A fine of AED 1000 will be applicable for all those who don’t wear a mask
-Family gatherings must not exceed more than 5 people
-Dubai Metro will reopen and be operational from 7 am – 11 pm. Buses and taxis will also function normally.
-Residents can head out to supermarkets and shopping malls.
-Customers are allowed to dine-in at maximum 30% of the restaurant’s capacity. Shishas or buffets will continue to remain closed.
-At work places, employees should not exceed 30% of the total workforce on site for a period of 6 hours only
-Residents are allowed to exercise outside their homes provided they do not leave their area of residence. They can undertake activities such as walking, running or cycling for 1-2 hours each time.
-People must take additional precautions while visiting older relatives
-Ramadan tents and Majlises are strictly prohibited

What Else?

Public transport services, including Dubai metro services, will be resumed from Sunday 26 April. The normal tariff system will be reintroduced. Precautionary measures will continue to be followed and there will be specific guidelines for passengers.
