Zarir Saifuddin is one of the top freediving experts in the UAE. For those who aren’t aware, free diving is a technique where divers do not use any scuba equipment. Yes, they instead dive deep into the ocean while holding their breath for as long as they can. This is also a technique that is used for the ancient tradition of pearl diving. So while Saifuddin was on one such diving expedition, he ended up losing his consciousness and almost drowned. According to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that several witnesses saw him with his friends several kilometres away from the shore.
