Dubai’s Baba Al Shams Named World’s First Rare Finds Hotel With Unique Identity And Location

UAE is famous for its stunning skyline, myriad attractions, global cuisine, and luxury hotels. And picking the right one when here can be daunting. One of Dubai’s vintage desert retreats, Bab Al Shams is about to get a makeover. The fact that Kerzner International Holdings Limited, the owner of Atlantis Resorts and Residences, is behind the current initiative has piqued our interest.

World’s First Rare Finds Hotel

The collection of hotels will launch under the label of Rare Finds with a collaborative initiative by Atlantis Owners. We can expect the completion of this hotel line by 2023. For almost two decades, Meydan’s resort has been one of Dubai’s most popular desert retreats. And the first in the globe will be in Dubai, Kerzner has taken ownership of the Bab Al Shams hotel and will rename it under its fresh concept. Bab Al Shams, a favourite destination for desert-lovers, will close for a major renovation at the end of April and reopen with additional amenities.

What To Expect?

The new resort’s main focus will be on food and beverage services. A pan-Asian rooftop restaurant will serve phenomenal cuisine with sunset views. Then there will be a Desert Spa, and an upmarket alcohol-free bar, in line boasting its well-known moniker.

Rare Finds, according to Kerzner, will honour each property’s distinctiveness by exhibiting its own personality, location, skill, and experience. So the infinity pool that overlooks the desert will return to Bab Al Shams, as will the emphasis on endurance sports. The resort line plans to fit all state-of-the-art facilities. The list includes treats for families and couples. The room will comprise treatment rooms with a plunge pool, sauna and steam rooms, an indoor courtyard pool, and a relaxation area. Sounds like an ideal place to decompress.

Guests will be able to stargaze with in-house astronomers, enjoy campfire storytelling, and fly above the sand dunes on hot air balloon flights. This all is a part of the new family-focused property’s experiences and entertainment.
