Dubai’s Mall Of Emirates, Dubai Outlet Mall Reduce Announce New Working Hours

The UAE has implemented some strict restrictions to fight the coronavirus fear. All schools, colleges and universities have been closed until March end. And now, the government has ordered that parks, spas, salons and other public places in the city be shut until end of the month. However, residents were awaiting an update on the malls in the city. And now, The Mall of Emirates and Dubai Outlet Mall have announced new working hours.

Staying in line with the current situation, all Majid Al Futtaim Malls in the city will now operate from 12 noon to 8:00 pm. All shops in Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdiff, City Centre Deira and City Centre Al Shindagha, will now operate as per the new timings. However, the new timing does not apply to Carrefour, pharmacies and clinics.

Earlier, malls in Dubai opened at 10am and closed at 10pm. Majid Al Futtaim said the timing change in an effort to support its tenants and their business during this tough time. Meanwhile, entertainment venues, including cinemas in the malls had already been asked to close temporarily.

We will be operational from 12pm – 8pm (Sunday – Wednesday) and 12pm – 10pm (Thursday – Friday) commencing from March 19, 2020.”

The announcement is headlined ‘Your safety is our priority’ and states: “In solidarity with our leadership, our top priority at Dubai Outlet Mall is protecting the health, safety and well-being of our community.”
