Dubai’s Museum of The Future has been named as one of the world’s most beautiful attractions. It  opened its door to the public on 22nd February 2022. The tickets for the Museum of the Future are now available for purchase on the museum’s official MOTF website for Dh145. While children below three years of age can enter for free, senior Emirati citizens will get complimentary tickets. The opening hours of the museum are from 10 am to 6 pm and you should make the bookings beforehand.

Since the Museum of the Future is officially open, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the most beautiful building in the world. Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to Twitter to post pictures of his visit. In one of the pics, we can see Sheikh Mohammed and his sons stepping on an outdoor viewing deck. The pictures gave us a glimpse of the futuristic interiors of the Museum of the Future and the Arabic calligraphy.

Sheikh Hamdan Gives A Tour Of The Museum

In October 2020, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid witnessed the installation of the final piece of the structure’s facade. But if you are wondering how does the Future of the Museum looks from inside, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, took to Twitter and posted a video with the caption, “The most beautiful building on earth… a sneak peek.”

Museum Of The Future Among 14 Most Beautiful Museums In The World

In a list compiled by National Geographic magazine, the museum was named among 14 most beautiful museums on the planet. Other museums which featured in the list include Shanghai Museum of Astronomy in China, the National Museum of African American History and Culture in the US capital, Washington, and the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum in Spain.

Well, the museum has bagged this spot even before it officially opened doors to the public. The striking attraction in Downtown Dubai is in its last stages of completion. In October 2020, the museum’s last piece was installed on the facade. Marking the special occasion, the Ruler also sent out a series of tweets and pictures of the Arabic calligraphy engraved on the fish-shaped structure. However, a final date for the opening is yet to be announced.

In his tweet, HH Sheikh Mohammed said: “The museum will explore the future trends and opportunities in science, technology and innovation. By making Dubai a testbed for emerging technologies, our aim is not merely to build another architectural marvel, but to build the foundation of tomorrow.”

For the first time, Dubai’s The Museum of the Future was seen lit recently. Well, while chances are most us have seen some light from the museum, the outer shell was seen almost fully lit for the very first time. Social media was abuzz with images of the museum on 24 August 2020, giving us a sneak peek of how the museum would look once completed.

What We Know So Far About The Museum Of Future

Spanning an area of 30,000 square metres, the column-less structure is 77 metres high and boasts 1,024 Arabic Calligraphy panels. The unique structure is designed by the architectural firm Killa Design. The exterior of the building is made of steel and glass façade, along with an Arabic poem about innovation woven in it.

When open, the AED 500 Million museum will give an exciting insight into the future of science, technology, and innovation. The project is an initiative to make Dubai a centre for innovation and also encourage innovative thinking. The oval-shaped museum will also have innovation labs focusing on health, education, smart cities, energy and transport in addition to a permanent section on future innovations in all fields. This will, in turn provide a platform to test latest inventions from tech-giants, and collaborate with start-ups, research institutes and universities.

The museum will also hold science conferences, and workshops covering latest inventions, the  trends and practical applications. In brief, it will become a major centre for futuristic science and technological projects, in collaboration with governments from all over the world.
