While the UAE Astronomy Centre could not spot the moon themselves on June 6, they did take to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the moon was spotted in Saudi Arabia. Posted on June 6, they mentioned that during the investigation, which was conducted continuously for eight hours from 10:30 in the morning till sunset, they were unable to see the crescent Dhu Al Hijjah. Even though they had accumulated about 200 images of the crescent location, this was unsuccessful. However, on June 7, early morning they did release a statement stating that Dhu al-Hijjah crescent had been spotted from Abu Dhabi at 6 AM.
