Abu Dhabi’s national carrier Etihad Airways was given the Diamond status in January 2021 for attaining the highest hygiene standards in the inaugural APEX Health Safety audit. And now, the airline has gone an extra mile to achieve something some HUGE! Yep, you read that right. Etihad Airways has become the first airline in the world to vaccinate all its operating pilots and cabin crew.

All Pilots And Cabin Crew Are Now Vaccinated
Etihad has achieved this huge milestone and here’s what Tony Douglas, Group Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, said on this,
“We proactively made the vaccine available to all our employees to not only help combat the effects of COVID-19 but to make travellers feel confident and reassured the next time they fly with us. We are the only airline in the world to make COVID-19 testing mandatory for every passenger and crew member before every flight and now, we’re the first airline in the world with 100 per cent vaccinated crew on board”.

Etihad Has Recently Launched A Special Covid Cover For Its Customers
Well, this indeed is big news for all us. And if you are soon planning to travel with Etihad Airways, you must know that, if you book the tickets with the airline before March 31, 2021, your outbound PCR testing is included with your ticket (except for those flying to China). People flying to China will have to take a test at an approved SEHA clinic.
