Etisalat Offers Free Internet And Video Calling Services For All

All residents in the UAE will now have access to free internet and video calling services. This initiative comes in quite handy during this time when the world is suffering the deadly pandemic, Covid 19. The largest telecom operator in the country has declared that they will be offering free video calling for two months, starting April.

Residents can subscribe to this service, by sending an SMS ‘ICP’ to the number 1012. A message was received by many Etisalat users stating that it is important to stay at home and be connected to your family. Their new slogan for now is, ‘together at home matters’. And now we all have a way to stay together, even in different homes.

Individuals who have already subscribed to this package, will have the opportunity to unsubscribe and subscribe once again. This time, it will be absolutely free. The offer comes as an encouragement for all to stay at home, away from the outdoors. Measures like this and more have been spread all around the UAE by different companies in order to promote staying at home. This also ensures the mitigation of the Covid 19 deadly virus.

What Else?

Up until now, both Etisalat and Du have been offering numerous deals, and some free calling applications. Generally, all Voip calling applications are banned in the UAE due to various reasons. However, most of these applications are now allowed for the public, specially during this time of crisis.

Most universities are using the education application BlackboardCollaborate, for teaching and learning. It offers an interactive interface that allows students to raise hands, draw, solve problems and more.
